Major Events | Chongqing Wester Elevator Was Invited to Attend the Chongqing Forum on China-South Korea Industrial Cooperation

On the 16th, the China-Korea Industrial Cooperation Chongqing Forum was successfully held at the JW Marriott Hotel Chongqing. South Korean President Moon Jae-in, Chongqing Municipal Party Committee Deputy Secretary, Municipal Government Mayor and Party Secretary Zhang Guoqing attended the forum and delivered speeches. Wu Youliang, Chairman of the Sino-Korea joint venture Chongqing Wester Elevator Co., Ltd., and Korean representative Kweon Oh Chul were invited to attend the forum and the event dinner.

In his speech, Moon Jae-in proposed four major cooperation plans, including: strengthening connectivity between South Korea, China and countries in the region to achieve smooth land, sea and air transportation in the Eurasian continent; strengthening cooperation in the energy field and promoting the development of IT technology; promoting Korean and Chinese companies to work together to explore third-country markets; and strengthening regional trade and investment cooperation.

Moon Jae-in said that South Korea will strengthen substantive cooperation with local governments such as Chongqing. The South Korean central government has established economic cooperation mechanisms with five Chinese provinces, and South Korean local governments have also established exchanges and cooperation relations with 33 Chinese provinces and cities. In the future, the South Korean central government will actively support local governments at all levels to establish cooperative relations with China and jointly promote economic development.
